Lorette Knowles-Taylor’s New Partnership is Made In Heaven

There have been several sad stories coming out of Farnham Stables in 2021 with the passing of South African legend, Nabab Forever, the sad loss of Equistro van de Mispelaere, and the accident that sidelined Barry for a few weeks. But with these unfortunate events being a part of the industry, the Farnham crowd has also been blessed with some wonderful news with Lorette Knowles-Taylor acquiring Voigtskirch Sahara, Ashlee Taylor partnering up with Locarno Roulette, and Barry Taylor’s return to competition and the 1.50m heights at the recent Easter Festival. The latest good news is a newly formed partnership for Lorette.

On top of their own journey of ups and downs this year, their clients have also had a great start to the season with Michelle Fleming debuting her self-bred Khaleesi, Aisling Triggol picking up the ride on Kadice van de Pitsemburg, and the Neill brothers, Shaun and Gareth, also picking up some talented new steeds. With the constant hustle and bustle ebbing out of the Chartwell-based setup, it’s only fitting that more great news has surfaced as Lorette announces another change.

The good news for Lorette, fortunately, is mounting up as she has announced the addition of another superstar to her string, Made In Heaven, A.K.A Harvey. After initially announcing that the gelding was to sent to her for re-sale by owners Stan and Leoni van der Burgh, Harvey wormed his way into Lorette’s heart and after a few months on his back, the decision has been made to allow Lorette to keep him. A gorgeous black gelding by Haarlem out of a Ferro mare –  Ferro also the sire of the highly competitive Callaho Freedom – the now 12-year-old gelding has always been a very striking athlete in the competition arena. After a slew of previous riders, Harvey has finally settled with a Lorette who has already enjoyed much success and accrued great memories. Owner, Leoni, backed the move, saying Lorette is  “the right rider” and highlighting how happy she is that “Harvey has finally found his person.”

The Easter Festival event was a great outing for the pair as they looked to be confident and competitive in the 1.35m heights and cemented this outlook by bringing home a few tickets. A very exciting new partnership and we look forward to watching your successes throughout the year.

Congratulations to all parties.
