The adage “new year, new beginnings” has been quite relevant this year as more than 15 new partnerships have emerged for our top-level riders. Within the Farnham family, there have been a large group of new partnerships from their riders including Michelle Fleming, Ashlee Taylor, Govett Triggol, Aisling Triggol, Lorette Knowles-Taylor, Shaun Neill, and now, Gareth Neill.

Alongside brother, Shaun Neill’s new partnership with Callaho Con Cero and the return of Callaho Freedom, Gareth Neill has also expanded his string of horses over the holiday season. Gareth has featured some incredible horses throughout his showjumping career including Dolce Vita van de Molendreef, Callaho Fargo Wells, Mirage 85, with whom Gareth won the South African Championships and President’s Cup in 2009, and his latest 1.50m partner is the nimble and spirited mare, Dartoli. But now there’s a new addition in the form of Callaho Conny Will.

Gareth’s current string of horses includes the 2 young Callaho talents, Sigmund (Sampras) and Conchetta (Con Coriano), alongside his open horses, Eyecatcher (Van Gogh), Capital Casmego (Castigo), and the wonder mare Dartoli (Van Gogh). To complement his current string, Gareth has added another young Callaho talent to his competitive string in the form of the Con Coriano mare, Conny Will. Purchased from the 2020 Callaho Auction by Jennifer Beatty, Conny Will made her competitive debut under Lara Neill in October of 2020 but has now moved on to Gareth for the 2021 season.

Conny Will is an exciting young mare that shows promise for the future. Coupled with Gareth’s experience, talent, and ability to produce young horses, this new partnership is one to keep an eye on in the years to come.
