Jonathan “The Magician” Clarke is a much-admired Gauteng-based showjumper, renowned for his ability to make every horse he sits on look easy. With an enormous string of horses, between his 2 primary owners, Jonathan Clarke is a regular feature at Provincial, National, and FEI-status shows. Jonathan has also earned his Protea colours as both a rider from his European campaign many years ago and as a Chef d’Equipe. His current top-level horses are Hummer and Enouche, both owned by Slade Equestrian. Additionally, Jonathan is a renowned instructor, operating out of Tamzyn Wegrostek’s Silhouette Park. Jonathan is widely regarded by many within the industry as one of South Africa’s best riders.
