Nicole Horwood riding Mark White Nissan’s Capital Don Cumarco
Date of Birth:30 January 1973
Base of Operations:Gauteng
Profession:Real Estate Agent – Pam Golding
Nationality:South African

Nicole Horwood is a modern legend of the South African showjumping, holding several showjumping records including being the South African Triple Crown (SA Derby, SA Champs, SA Outdoor GP) victor in 2013. What makes her achievements even more spectacular, however, is that Nicole is a real estate agent by day, yet on weekends, she is a fearsome competitor in the show ring. Having started her riding career as a Pony Rider in KZN, Nicole moved to Gauteng at 18 where she began working for Gonda Betrix before taking on a position in real estate.

In addition to the SA Triple Crown, Nicole is the only other rider, after Mickey Louw in 1970-1972, to have won the SA Derby on back to back occasions three years in a row. She rose to prominence on the legendary Capital Don Cumarco and was also responsible for the production of Capital Colnardo, now a top international prospect.
