The preliminary days of the Burlington Cup, ahead of the main events over the weekend, have been filled with excitement. With Aisling Triggol’s Crimson and Amy Engelbrechts’s Spartanetta turning heads, the competition has already been filled with some wonderful new partnerships and top-class showjumping displays. Aside from all that, another 1.50m rider, Govett Triggol, made an appearance at the show with his new horse, HVL Symphony, and many fans are already looking on with great excitement.
Govett Triggol, a notable feature in the showjumping community as both a top rider with years of local and international experience behind him and generous sponsor on behalf of his company, Reonet, entered the 1.30m class riding a gorgeous dark bay mare who was previously owned by Katelyn Lepart. Govett’s acquisition of this 9-year-old Irish Sport Horse by Orestus out of a Cavalier Royale mare has added an extra component to his already strong string causing rumours to start regarding his plans for a future breeding programme.
A striking horse with athletic paces and an expressive hind technique, the mare appears capable of tackling the higher grades with great ease. Her quick steps and competitive spirit are great markers for a winning open horse and alongside Callaho’s Woke 334 and Callaho’s Kadice van de Pitsemburg, HVL Symphony, is sure to be an asset to Govett’s highly competitive string of horses as he looks to the future for success at the highest levels.
