AAN Equine L’Adorado FG Debuts in the 1.50s with Tamara Rueda

Tamara Rueda has been a very proactive athlete in the early stages of the 2021 showjumping season with some remarkable achievements including the introduction of her new stallion to the competitive circuit and the acquisition of an increasingly popular clothing brand, Cieli Equestrian, as a new sponsor. But, the news has not stopped coming as Tamara recently displayed the fruits of her hours of saddle-time and behind-the-scenes training with the debut of AAN Equine L’Adorado FG in the 1.50m ranks.

A tall and solid gelding by Breemeersen Adorado out of a Cento mare, the almost-10-year-old gelding has been an impressive horse to watch since his arrival in South Africa. Their partnership began in October of 2018 and in just 2½ competitive years together, they have grown from strength to strength and formed a formidable bond which was evident in their debut 1.50m class in which they finished 9th.

After a brief hiatus from the top levels of showjumping for Tamara due to her spectacular grey mare, JK Quantus 18, being sidelined with injury, the mare returned to competition in the latter half of 2020. In the meantime, Tamara, with the guidance and expert tutelage of her coach, Gonda Betrix, has ensured that the remaining horses in her string have continued to improve and progress and with L’Adorado looking confident in the 1.50m heights, Quantas back in action, Liantos dominant in the 1.35m/1.40m heights, and Just On Time Z looking like a shoo-in for future success, it’s a matter of time before she has a top tier string to bolster her chances of securing her first South African title in the Adult 1.50m ranks.

Congratulations Tamara on your successes thus far and best of luck for the year ahead.
